This is the second cat tree I built using mostly materials I got for free, had leftover from other projects or bought at a discount. The only things that really cost me were the contact cement, rug remnant and lag screws and that all added up to about $40. I don’t show how I put all the parts together but I drilled pilot holes and used deck screws. Just be careful that you sink them in deep enough so your cats don’t get hurt on them. Done right, you can’t even feel them through the carpet.
